A little over 4 months ago, I was sitting at home in front of the TV, thinking to myself "I'm such a blob." Compared to my 130 pound wife, I really was a monstrosity and more than just a bit of a glutton. I ate too much, exercised too little, and thought nothing of it. I worked a job that had me doing nothing all the time, and I came home only to do nothing again. It made me fat, and I honestly don't know how my own wife put up with me. Despite this, I found that there was an answer to my problems. It was by chance when I saw an ad online for an hcg diet. Of course I was skeptical at first--who wouldn't be at the prospect of losing so much weight. However, I put my doubts aside to try something that was life changing, and it was. Now I weigh exactly 161 pounds and have lost over 110 pounds in the course of four months. I bike, weight lift, swim, and job like I did in highschool and college. The feeling is wonderful. There are a few people I would like to thank for helping me through this, and here they are:
• My Wife: She knew I would succeed and always stuck with me. She's a blessing and a wonderful spouse.
• Rick: He's my boss at the design firm I work for, and he dieted for over a year to gain 70 pounds. He thought the diet would work and was there to give me sound exercise advice.
• My coworkers: To the guys who work out with me, it's been great have motivation and company in the journey!
• Radiant MedSpa/Seattle HCG Diet Weight Loss: I didn't believe in the diet at first, but you guys made me a fan. Without the friendly staff there, I would never have made it to 160 pounds. Thanks guys!
That's pretty much it people. This is my weight loss journey. I now know that no matter what you weigh or what you believe, you can in fact lose weight. Good luck everyone!

Waking up to smell the coffee. . .
It's Saturday and I can finally take a deep breath now! Work was busy between Tuesday and Friday, and I hardly had a moment where I wasn't working on something, so I wasn't able to work out Thursdays as I like to. That's okay, though. I plan on going biking today. I'm sitting here this morning with a cup of coffee. I'm starting to cheat on the diet just a little bit because I know I am pretty much done with it now. I'm at 167 (I lost another 4 pounds), and I will quit around 160. I've put on a lot of muscle, so there is no reason to try and go below that. Any more is just foolishness! I already look great--I actually look like I belong with my petite wife, and she thinks I'm quite the stud now with weight lifting and such. ]:D We're planning a getaway for a few days up at Leavenworth this winter around Christmas time. It's a great break from the hectic Christmas season, and it's going to be a really nice to spend some more time together.

New Week, More Working Out!
I went in for a radiant visit today. I am still a little sore from my crazy mountain biking ride, but it went well and I have lost 6 pounds, making my weight 171. Needless to say, I am pretty psyched about it (a little teenage lingo there). I'm going to stop here in about a week and a half. I've come a long ways from my 280 pound self. 109 pounds to be exact. All I can say is I owe it all to the hcg diet. It's been fantastic, and I've decided that as my last post, I am going to write a
"memorial" post, if you will, including a thank you sheet with all the people that helped me succeed. We'll see how that goes. I am going to the gym to work out for a bit this afternoon, too. I want to run a couple miles and lift some weights. What I usually do it lift first because that is what takes a lot of energy when you are pushing yourself. I then eat an orange or something and run my couple miles. It has been going really well. I feel so much better that I am sure I won't have a problem keeping the weight off once I am done with the diet. I will probably be running every other day at the very least.

Riding the Mountain = Adenaline + Weight Loss
Today was good. I work half days on Thursday every once in a while, and I took this as an opportunity to abandon golf for the afternoon and instead try ride my mountain biking more. I had a friend take me up to a trail called Tiger Mountain, which is located just a little ways away from Issaquah. The trail is fantastic, but a very long bike ride to the top where you initially start your descent. It took us three hours to get to the top, although I am sure my buddy could easily have done it in two, since I took frequent breaks while climbing the 3000 feet of vertical gravel road. Once on the trail, however, it’s all fast and fun. We spent about 2 hours riding back down to the bottom of the mountain, and it was well worth the effort to the top. I weighed myself in just a few minutes ago, and I lost another 6 pounds and am now at 177 pounds. Looks like it’s about time to throw in the towel. Two more weeks and I am calling it good!

Checked-In With My Weight!
I weighed myself in this evening at 183 pounds, so I slowed down a bit even after exercise. I am almost positive that I am going to be stopping here within a couple weeks. I am thinking that I will call it quits before the end of October, that way I don’t lose too much weight and can keep my hard earned muscle. If there is one thing that I think is just as hard as losing weight, it is gaining adequate muscle to actually look buff. It took me two years in high school to really gain some muscle, and it took me 3 and a half months to lose 100 pounds. Without using steroids, it would be impossible to build that much muscle that fast, but with hcg it’s easy to lose weight.
I also went in for my Radiant visit today, which went well. It was a pretty fast appointment today, which gave me time to work out before heading home to spend some time with the wife. She’s pretty impressed with my weight loss, and I actually look like I did when we first met. She has always been fairly petite, and I used to kinda worry that she thought I was a disgusting blob or something. Anyway, that’s not relevant. What is relevant is that I have lost a lot of weight, and that is pretty cool.

A New Bike, Old Pounds Gone
Seven more days and seven more pounds gone everyone! I am proud to say that I am officially at 185 pounds. I plan on stopping when I get to 160-170 pounds. I’ve gained so much muscle that I don’t really want to lose it, so I need to make sure that I don’t accidentally lose too much weight. : ) That’s the first time I have actually been worried about losing too much weight. I’ve gone from 280 pounds to 185. Five more pounds and I am down 100 pounds! That’s what I call amazing. The next task will be to try and gain a six pack back again. I had it when I played football, but not so much anymore. Besides that I am going to try and do more mountain biking. I got a 2007 StumpJumper that a friend was selling, and it has been a great bike so far. I also went down to the gym and ran a full 2 miles today. That’s pretty impressive if I do say so myself! The energy I now have has been so nice, and I am definitely going to keep it up even after I am done with the diet. I am hoping to at least jog every morning, so we’ll see how it goes.

Radiant Visit
I had my Radiant visit today. I went an extra week without going to Radiant since I was on vacation/had an anniversary, so I figured that I should go in as soon as possible again. I am down to 192, so I didn’t lose that fast this week at all, but I wouldn’t necessarily call that a failure by any means! As a matter of fact, I am almost back down to the weight I was 8 ½ years ago. I am hoping to lose another 20 pounds and then call it good. That should only take about another 3 weeks. We’ll see how it goes, but I am greatly anticipating the idea of being so close to my original weight again! I really can’t believe how well this diet has worked. The hardest part has been the eating restrictions, but it’s a small price to pay.
I went out and bought two new pairs of pants yesterday and a few shirts to wear with them because I have lost so much weight that I can’t wear my current clothes without looking sloppy on the job. My buddy who started the hcg diet with me admitted that he also went out and got another few pairs of clothes because he can’t fit in his other ones any more. It definitely shows the progress you are making, and it is something that, although takes a bite of my paycheck, is well worth it. Cheers guys!

Back From Vacation—A Round of Golf
Golf was very alluring, so I had to hit the courses and see what I could score now that I am at 194. It actually went very well, and I scored another round below 110. I won’t say the exact scores, since it was the best round of golf I have played since my tournament days back in high school. I am also looking at another sport in addition to the swimming I will do tomorrow and the weight lifting. Biking is a huge sport out west and to the north in Canada, and it’s a great way to stay pretty fit. I am thinking of getting into it with one of my buddies. He’s a road biker and is looking at getting an Enduro SX Trail, I believe. Apparently it’s one of the best bikes in the mountain biking world. I would not doubt it at a retail of over $3k. I am looking at a Santa Cruz Bullit, but I would definitely go for a used one. I guess they are more for jumps and hills, but I am not very good at steep trails and downhill sports, etc., so I think it might be a better option. I’ve decided when I get my weight down to 175, I will buy one. I’ll try to save up over the next few months, and if nothing else, I might get a cheaper “Wally World” bike.

Anniversary and 3 More Pounds. . .
I couldn’t very well stop losing weight just because I was away on my anniversary vacation. I lost another 3 pounds, so I am down to 197, and the vacation is a great success so far! We’re heading back the 16th, and I have to work Friday, which isn’t terribly exciting, but nonetheless, I must do it anyway. I couldn’t afford to be off work that long. I plan to work out this Friday, too. I need to get a little more exercise in before the week is done because I did go out to dinner last night (anniversary day!) and will take my wife out another time or two, probably. This will have to be a short post, but I will post again on Thursday or Friday.

A Romantic Getaway for Two. . .
Did great at golfing today! I scored a 104, but I practiced on the range for almost an hour before playing my round. I ended up hanging out with another golfer out there. He scored a 126, but that’s nothing to sneeze at, really. I’ve played a lot this summer so far, and I am still planning on playing a dozen more times before the summer has ended. My wife is talking about getting me a golf package for next year for my anniversary. I think I may be able to use it up this year if I keep up how often I am playing, though.
Speaking of, I am only two weeks away from my anniversary. I’ve made reservations for one of the best restaurants in the area that we are staying at for our anniversary evening. I am also sneaking a box of chocolates and a rose into the hotel room before we get there (it helps to have connections with staff). It’s going to be great, and hopefully I will be a few pounds lighter than my current 200!

Weight on the Brain!
What a crazy day. . .I went to the office today and actually got complimented by one of my coworkers about how it looks like I’ve really come a long way in the diet. He’s 34, an outdoor buff, and an athlete. I would say he’s 170 and all muscle. To hear him say that was really encouraging, especially since I am only about 35 pounds heavier than he is (I’ve lost another 4 pounds, so I am at 203lbs and 75lbs lost!) It feels great to say that. Anyway, I headed on down to the gym today and just worked out. It was nice to be able to do so, but I didn’t lift quite as long as I hoped to. I could only stay for about 35 minutes because I needed to get back to the office after lunch break. It was still great, and I have started lifting 35lb weight almost 18 reps at a time. I am thinking of going up to 40lb weight pretty soon, but I don’t want to overdo it, so I will keep up where I am until I get to 20 reps. I am planning on going golfing on Friday, too. I am going to go for a 105 or better. We’ll see if I can actually get it below my current 110, but I think with a little more practice, I will be able to. I’ll probably swing by the driving range first.

A Radiant Being and Joint Supplements
Wow folks, it’s been a long time since I last posted. I really need to be keeping up on these blogs! It’s been 9 or 10 days since my last post, and I lost 9 pounds, so I am pretty jazzed about that right now. That means that I am at 207, or about 71 pounds lost. Just a quick update there. I went in for my check in with Radiant and I am looking pretty good right now. I’ve successfully lost almost 80 pounds. I’m approaching a 1/3 of my body weight, which is pretty cool considering how much that is.
I went in and actually jogged a full mile for the first time ever. It’s a bit hard on the knees, though, so I am picking up a joint supplement to help with the extra abuse my knees will be taking until I am back down to my target weight. I honestly just can’t believe how great I look and how far I’ve come. I’m now starting to think about what I will do after the program is over. I’ve been playing golf a lot the last week, and I am finally keeping my score at about 110. Pretty darn good guys! I want to play more golf, maybe join a group of golfers, and then I want to reorganize my life, too. I want to jog each morning before work and then I want to eat healthfully. I plan on eating lunches comprised of fruits and vegetable, not junk like the Doritos and Pepsi I previously used to eat.

More New Clothes
I finally went down and got new clothes, again. I am trying to keep the span of time between my garment purchases as far apart as possible because of the cost. I get sick and tired of my belt holding up an excessive amount of material, but it goes to illustrate the amount of weight I am losing, so it can actually be encouraging despite the annoyance. I decided to go work out again, too. I didn’t run today, but instead I weight lifted for half an hour, and then swam for another half hour. It was really nice to be back in the water. It has been a couple weeks, and I have been busy with work, too. This summer has been much too busy compared to the previous summers, but I am not really complaining too much.
I was also taking a look at the website for Radiant, and I found out that they have a home kit available for out of state residents. I thought this was handy for if I was ever out of state and still wanted to do their program. I don’t like having to go in a whole lot, but I wouldn’t do it any other way, since it is a great accountability tool. If I ever moved, though, I would never go to any other location except for Radiant, so it was nice to see that they had other options out there. It has been duly noted, that’s for sure.
Four more pounds gone! We’re at 62 pounds lost, which means I weigh . . . 216!

Anniversary Coming Up. . .
Workout was great, but was very tiring. I jogged a mile, but I only lifted for about 15 minutes. I just didn’t have it in me to keep going after the long work week and a few stressful days at the “office.” I lost another 4 pounds, though. I have been sticking so close to the diet it is ridiculous, but it is working, and I am going to be looking pretty good in the next couple of weeks leading up to my anniversary. It is really pretty exciting actually.
Speaking of anniversaries, if there are any suggestions to help make the 13th even better, let me know. This will be our 10 year anniversary, so I want to make it really special. I am taking my wife, Kelly, to British Columbia and we’re going to enjoy some of the sights and sounds that part of the world has to offer. I got her a great looking necklace and earring set, but gifts are gifts, and I am not the best at a “romantic” cliché type of event. Needless to say my wife has always enjoyed whatever we have done together, and I am thankful for that. Any other guidance would be much appreciated, however.

More Golf, Less Weight
Another five pounds out the door. . . Heck, if only playing golf was this easy. I went out again and tried my hand at it. It was a stressful day trying to meet some deadlines with a few vector images that I had procrastinated on. I went out to play a round and scored 130. Much higher than my 112 last time. Maybe it was a second beginner’s luck, who knows. It was good to be out playing again, though. I went to Radiant this morning (partly why I was stressed to get the graphics done) and checked in. I can feel the program just beginning to come to a close, I think. I only have 30 pounds or so left to lose, and I have lost 54 so far. I should be around my target weight, which I changed to about 190, in about a month if I work hard. I’ve been going to the YMCA on a regular basis, too. It has been going very good so far. I feel like I am becoming a workout buff again, like I was in college while I still played football and ran around. It’s a great feeling. I am going to work out again on Friday, which is when I typically find the time to get in now. I will let ya’ll know how it goes.

229 and losing fast, folks.
Workout last Friday went pretty good, but I was really sore afterwards. I jogged for the first time on the track, but only made it ½ mile. Maybe I am more out of shape than I thought. . . Still, I would have never of done it before I lost all this weight. I climbed back on the scales today, and between the two pounds I lost before my last blog post, and the 5 pounds I have lost this week, I have shed 49 pounds. My current weight is 229, and I am expecting to keep up my current rate for another few weeks, if possible. So far I am almost halfway to my goal weight; I just have to stick with it for a few more days to see that mark.
My anniversary is in about a month (September 13, to be exact), so I want to be around 190. My wife has been very happy with the results of the diet, too. I look better and feel better, and I want to go out more and do stuff rather than sit in front of a computer for hours on end after I come home from doing it all day in the first place. If I could weigh 190 pounds, I think I would be tempted to wrap myself up in a bow as one of her gifts! We’ll see how that goes. ; )

Golf Scores and Radiant Visit. . .
My round of golf went very well! I got 112 after not playing for over 5 years. Darn good if you ask me! I decided to play 18 after I got to the course because I figured I have come this far and it should be a “Go big or go home” type of thing. I went to Radiant this afternoon after I played my morning round of golf (have to love a computer engineer’s schedule) and had to add with pride that I went golfing for the first time in almost 6 years. I am pretty close to what is normal for losing weight during an HCG diet, so I am happy about that, too. I will admit that I did take out a couple chopped up apples to snack on while I was playing golf. With how much I walked, I am not too worried about it, though. I was pretty hungry while playing today, and I still have to work out again this week, so it’s going to be one of those hard weeks where I want to snack on stuff after workouts. My plan is to wait to eat until after I am done with my workouts so that I don’t get too hungry and blow my diet. That way I can feel better after a workout and resist the snacking after a workout.

Going Golfing!
I think I am over this little hump that they say you can get stuck on during an HCG diet. It has been 5 days since my last post, but I lost 3 pounds. Overall, I think I am losing a little bit slower, but that’s okay with me as long as I keep losing the weight. So far I am down to 236 pounds, or about 42 pounds gone. I joined a golfing club this last Friday, too. They were offering a good rate for a year’s membership and you get a discount for golfing there. I haven’t golfed in 6 years—it’s going to feel so good to be back! I am heading out tomorrow to do 9 holes. I will need to dig out my clubs from seasons and seasons ago and clean them up. If I keep losing weight and get back into golf, I might treat myself to a new set of clubs. Not bad, eh?
Speaking of working out, I went to the Y again today. I’m doing okay with the weights, actually. I spent 30 minutes in the weight worm today, and 30 minutes on the track. I heard that overdoing it can cause your body to enter a starvation like state, but so far I haven’t experienced that with Radiant MedSpa’s diet. Quite the contrary, to be sure. But anyway, I will let you folks know how that round of golf is. Wish me luck and more weight gone!

Jinxed. . .But still lookin' up!
I jinxed myself. I’ve lost a pound and a half this week… That is not at all what I was anticipating. I am stuck at about 38-39 pounds. I’m not really sure what to do about it, but I guess I will just keep taking the doses and see what happens. I am going to go into Radiant in a week or so, and I will ask them, then. Even if I am losing a small amount, at least I am losing something. If it really gets to me, I may call in and find out what to do. Even despite this, Radiant has been phenomenal for me. 40 pounds! I’ve lost 40 pounds in less than two months! Where can you find a weight loss program that can even compare? You can’t—I’m convinced of that! For right now, I will keep on the diet they have told me to stick to and keep on exercising. That’s a big deal for me – exercising. I want to be really fit again.
As a matter of fact, I have been planning a backpacking trip here. I want to head out and backpack for a few days on the Pacific Crest trail, out in our backyard near Mt. Rainier. I am not sure how that will go over with the wife. Maybe I’ll make invite my son along and we’ll call it some good ‘ol father and son time. But that won’t happen until I drop a few more pounds. I always end up writing after my workouts at the Y, so it’s kind of an accountability thing, too.

Needle-Free Me! (and a new iPod case + strap)
I went in for my radiant visit today. Things are looking good. I lost another 4 pounds, so we’re at 37 pounds obliterated so far. I heard that some people reach a plateau and have a hard time losing, but I haven’t quite reached that yet. We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks or so, but so far the diet has treated me really well. I was looking at the injections again today online. I know some people prefer them, but I have a mild fear of needles, so I am so thankful that I got the oral drops. Some other weight loss centers are still using injections, and that would definitely push me away from them and lean more towards a center using the drops.
I also make my Radiant days my workout days, since I am already in town and don’t want to have to drive out again the next day. I bought a strap for my iPod, so when I am out there jogging I have something to listen to. I think it helps a little bit, because I went an extra lap today. That makes it a mile and a quarter so far. I am trying to keep my workouts to at least an hour. I end up jogging for 20-25 minutes, then lift weights for a little longer. So far the workout days are the days I feel the best, too; they are also the days that I feel the hungriest.

More Radiant, More YMCA
I scheduled in my next visit to Radiant and weighed myself this morning. I can’t believe that I have lost 33 pounds. The last four days I lost a pound a day. I have been trying really hard to stay on the diet that they prescribe. It’s 500 calories a day, but I don’t feel that hungry, usually. I am not losing hope of my target weight, but with this first round of HCG am not expecting to lose 100 pounds. It is just exciting to see that I am going to be thinner, look better, and feel better.
I, once again, went to the YMCA. I jogged four laps, so about a mile. It was exhausting, but I know that by adding the exertion into my weight loss schedule, I will lose even faster and see better results. I am feeling really motivated after a years of obesity, and this is giving me a change to get out. I also am starting to get back into weight lifting. I just lift a little, since I don’t know how much I should do on the low calorie diet, but so far it’s feeling pretty good. I can curl 35lbs right now without a problem, and my max is 45. We’ll see how it goes. A few more pounds and I would like to be swimming a bit, too. It’s suppose to be really good at giving a cardio workout, and we all know that’s a good thing for a guy like me who sits around on the computer for 7-9 hours a day!

New clothes and 30 pounds gone
July 16
I talked to the staff at Radiant again today. I needed to schedule another appointment for next week. I am almost a month and a half into my treatment, and things are looking pretty good so far. I am now at 29 ½ pounds gone so far. I have to add in the ½ pound because it’s so close to a pound a day. :) With any luck I will be going to be at about 45 pound gone in two months.
I still just can’t believe that I am losing so much weight so fast. I ended up going down and getting some new clothes today. I’ve lost too much weight to keep wearing what I got a couple weeks ago. It’s bittersweet, buying slacks and shirts for my job; yet, at the same time I see improvement—I feel better, and that’s worth far more than refusing to part with sizes of clothes!
The YMCA membership is really paying off, too. I have really enjoyed going and exercising. This last week I lifted some weight for the fun of it. Nothing much, just did some curls and tried benching a little bit. I haven’t done that since college, and it was great to do it again. So far I am visiting the YMCA twice a week. I do track and now lift weights. I want to eventually add swimming once I look a bit better, too. Keeping you posted,
Andrew

Weekend. . .
July 11
It’s Saturday, and I’ve earned a day off from exercise. I went to the YMCA again yesterday. I went a lap farther on the track than I had before at a pretty fast walk. I weighed myself again this morning and I’ve lost 25 pounds so far. So I lost a pound a day since my last visit. I think the exercise may be helping a little bit, but at 253, I’m not complaining at all. Last time I weighed around 250 was about a year ago. It’s just disappointing how much I let myself go with watching my weight simply because I sat behind a desk and snacked on Twinkies and potato chips 8 hours a day. One thing is for sure, that will never happen again. After visiting Radiant and learning about all the different important components to a diet, I think I’ve learned a lesson or two about weight. After putting the drops under my tongue this evening, I started to reflect on just how far I’ve come. From a high school athlete to a “blob,” I guess, sitting in front of a computer as a job. Anyway, just a thought. Onward and upward with Radiant!

Time to hit the track
July 7
Third visit to Radiant MedSpa went well! It’s been a little over a month, and I have lost 21 pounds. I’ll just say it. . .each time I go there I am very happy I chose them. I honestly don’t know how people can stand other weight loss centers that make you purchase expensive meal plans, etc. I know one of my colleagues has been going to Weight Watchers for over three years on and off. She’s lost a total of 35 pounds. I’m already at 21; that’s real success. I’m definitely an avid fan and advocate of this treatment. I only become more resolutely fixed in this mindset with each pound shed and each visit to Radiant MedSpa. Who says spas aren’t for guys?
I finally broke down and bought a membership to YMCA this week, too. My wife and I plan to go a couple times a week. I ended up doing a bit of fast walking, but I was sore yesterday after the workout. We’ll see how it goes from there, but I am planning on doing the same workout in a week. I heard that drinking plenty of water helps muscles rejuvenate after a workout, so I am drinking a lot more water than I normally would, too. It can only get better from here, so I am excited!

3 pounds, tongue drops, and pedometers. Oh my!
July 2
4 more days, 3 more pounds gone. 16 pounds in about 26 days. I am much happier with that number. I calculated that I would lose about 22 pounds in a month, so I think I can do it. I have four more days left, and I would like to be nice to get past 20 pounds. From now on I think I am going to stick with a healthier diet and close to the allowed list and possibly start exercising a bit more, too. I want to be in shape by the time September rolls around, so I need to work out a little bit more than just my morning walks.
One of the nicest things about this treatment so far is that I can take the drops twice a day, and then have room to plan my own exercise routine and still eat without heavy restrictions (must of which I place on myself). I also learned that Radiant does phone consultations, so patients can actually be on their program without ever having to go into their facility. That’s probably a plus for anyone outside the Seattle area.
I also ended up getting a pedometer. It keeps track of how long you have walked by the number of steps you take. It’s handy, although not completely accurate all the time. I found out that walking around my neighborhood gets me about half a mile. I want to work up to running a few miles each week. We’ll see how that goes. Until next time, keep shedding those pounds. . .

Not too shabby, but. . . . . . . .
June 29
I scheduled my next visit to Radiant today. It’s been a total of 23 days and I’ve lost about 15 pounds so far. It did slow down a bit this last week, probably because of my diet. The company I work for put on a early summer get together for all of the engineering staff. Between cheeseburgers, hotdogs, root beer floats, and ice cream, I managed to lose pretty much no pounds. I am really hoping to watch my diet a little more so I can lose it again faster. So far, though, I haven’t been on extremely strict eating regiments. The diet calls for 500 calories a day. Although it sounds tough, I am not having much trouble with it. I’m still trying to lose weight, so I figure that there is no reason to proverbially stuff myself. There's an allowed list of food, and I can eat those, so it's not too bad. I did Atkins for a while, and although a lot of the food was good, I still had to eat very little to lose even a pound or two per week. I’ll keep you all updated on how it goes over the next few days. I am going to stick to the list and see what happens. It would be healthier, and I might lose the pounds a little faster. Cheers. . .

Back to. . .Radiant!
June 23
This marks my second visit to Radiant. I, so far, have lost 11 pounds using their HCG drops. That puts me at 267 pounds. That’s not bad at all! My meeting with the staff there went very well, and I am really enjoying the services they offer. They are definitely professionals in their field. I had a friend at work ask me about the weight loss program I am using and how it’s been going for me. I told him that I am using Radiant MedSpa, and he laughed at first. I told him that in 13 days I had lost 11 pounds, and that this fall I would be playing some real football with the kids. He wasn’t laughing so hard after that, and said he might even give it a go. I figure the more people who find out about this diet, the more it will become popular. If it works for everyone like it has for me, it’s definitely worth it.
The only real problem that I realized I am going to have is the need for new clothes. After a few more weeks, I am going to be cutting off the sizes. For the ladies out there who don’t necessarily know it yet, us guys don’t find shopping to be an edifying experience. Once I hit my target weight, I’m going to for sure get some nice clothes, for now, I am just going to have to deal with getting a few new pairs of pants and shirts every few weeks.

4 Days, 3 Pounds. . .
June 14
It’s been 4 days, and I’ve lost 3 pounds so far! That’s pretty good if you ask me. The drops have been super easy to use, too. I was told at my last visit to Radiant that injections used to be given to weight loss patients – I think I prefer the drops, by far. I went to the store today and looked at the different weight loss supplements they have for sale. I have tried a few in the past, but I never noticed them working very well for me.
I did the math today, and if I continue on this current program, I will be able to lose about 22 pounds a month. My anniversary is in September, and I’ll be able to drop 100 pounds easily doing this program. I think my wife is actually a bit excited, too. ; ) After that I have a reunion to go to. I haven’t told any of my relatives that I am on this diet, so now hopefully “Big Andrew” will be fit and looking fine.
I have another appointment with Radiant in about a week. I will update you all on how that goes and what my weight is then. I weighed about 280 (278 last time I had checked), and now I am at 275. I hope to be under 270 at my next appointment. Talk to you all soon!

First Visit. . .
Wednesday, June 10
My first visit was a real success! I went in Wednesday, the 10th, and I knew this was the right place. It’s located near the university district, about 5 minutes from the University of Washington campus. I live about 30 minutes to the north of UW, so it is a pretty convenient place to go to. The staff there are very friendly and professional, and I am pretty sure this is going to work out well. The facility is also really nice, unlike other weight loss centers I’ve been to. Basically, they weigh and measure you, and then start you on their weight loss products. You go back every week to two weeks in order to follow up on your weight loss plan.
One thing I did learn is that the products they use are HCG based. There is some talk about the effectiveness of HCG, but the typical amount of weight lost by a patient is somewhere around 20 pounds a month. That’s definitely something I am willing to try! I also found out that there HCG is purchased from a certified American pharmacy, so it has full potency and isn’t a fake brand. The last thing I really wanted was meds from an overseas company making kids mix who knows what together and calling it weight loss medication. I ended up buying their drops, which are put under the tongue twice a day. That’s what I call easy. Anyway, I am really excited about this folks, and will keep you updated on how it goes! Wish me luck. . .

My first post!
I've decided to go ahead and start a blog. I'm going to the Radiant MedSpa and Weight Loss Center in Seattle, Washington. I've decided it is time to get off my lazy butt and see if I can lose weight. The center looks promising for me, and I want my friends to be able to take a look at my thoughts and progress as I go through the treatments. Apparently you can lose weight fast and reach a target weight in as little as a month. I am starting out at 260 pounds, and I want to be 150 in a few months in time for my anniversary and a reunion happening a month later.
A little background. . . I was a heavy weight back in high school. I weighed 180 pounds, could bench 300, and could eat anything I wanted. I dabbled a bit in protein shakes and some weird muscle building solutions and pills, but never any steroids. After getting out of college, I took up graphics design and computer software engineering. You don't really move a whole lot, and I gained weight fast with my poor eating and exercise habits. I feel bad all the time, and it's time to get slim again. I'm more than willing to try something new, so here goes. I'll update you all after my first visit. I have an appointment in the next week or so.
